Travelling to Leicester along the M1, leave at junction 22, signed A50 Leicester. Take the first exit from the roundabout at the bottom of the off ramp and travel in towards Leicester on the dual carriageway. Go straight over 5 roundabouts, still heading in to the city, a distance of around 4 miles following the A50 which by now will be called Groby Road. Just after the dual carriageway finishes, there is a set of traffic lights at a large junction. Once again go straight ahead, (you will see a Reg Vardy Audi garage to your left). This road is called Woodgate and it bears to the right and crosses a river bridge. Continue straight on and at the second set of traffic lights bear to the right. You will see an underpass in front of you, keep to the left of that (do not go through it), go up the slope and straight on at the traffic lights. You should now be on St. Nicholas Circle (see map, go to part 2)

Leave M1/M69 at J21 follow signs for A5460 Leicester. Keep going until eventually, after you have passed MFI on your right, the main road bears round to the right towards the city centre. Cross the river bridge and get into the right hand lane passing the Holiday Inn. At the traffic lights after the Holiday Inn turn right. You should now be on St. Nicholas Circle (see map, go to part 2).

In front of you the main road turns right, you turn left and, at the fork in front of you bear left. You should now be in Peacock Lane. Continue straight on, you have to turn right onto Hotel Street and then right onto Friar Lane. At this point the Energy Efficiency Centre is just behind you opposite Molly O'Grady's pub.

If you are travelling by train, leave the station by the main exit and turn right through an underpass. Then simply follow Granby Street (the road straight ahead of you) for about 5 minutes until you reach the market. Turn left and skirt the market past Yorkshire Bank, Lloyds and the Alliance and Leicester. We are opposite the Molly O'Grady's pub.
